IIT Bombay is part of history in the making. In a very short time, just about a year, IIT Bombay has made significant strides. IIT Bombay admitted the first batch of 111 B.Tech. students, and started functioning on August 20, 2008. Three departments, CSE, EE & ME were initiated. The first year had its highs and lows but was an exciting period that will be etched in the minds of the pioneer batch. In January 2009, IIT Bombay admitted 11 PhD students. On February, 27, 2009, the foundation stone of IIT Bombay was laid by Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Hon'ble Chairperson of UPA. For the 2009-10 academic year, IITH will be admitting 120 B.Tech. students, 35 M.Tech. students and 10-15 Ph.D. students.

| Qualification | MTech OR BTech with minimum 2 years relevant experience. Preference will be given to candidates with MTech (final semester students who are about to graduate can also apply) in field of building sciences and building energy. |
| Job Profile | Must have knowledge in building energy modelling with special emphasis on daylighting, indoor air quality, human occupancy behavioral dynamics Must have knowledge and hands on experience in Design Builder, Rhinoceros, DIVA, CONTAM, IAQX, Matlab and similar packages. Must have experience in Building Information Modelling with field work experience pertaining to data collection, experimental work in developmental studies and sustainability sciences. Candidates with published work in the above mentioned field will be given preference. Candidate should have good writing and communication skill. Candidates should be ready to join the position by first week of May, 2016. |
