Oil India Limited On February 18, 1959, Oil India Private Limited was incorporated to expand and develop the newly discovered oil fields of Naharkatiya and Moran in the Indian North East. In 1961, it became a joint venture company between the Indian Government and Burmah Oil Company Limited, UK.
Job Description:
Director (Exploration & Development) is a member of Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman & Managing Director. He formulates exploratory policies and budgets and monitors progress of exploration and development programs of the Company.
Age Limit:
For Internal Min 45 and Max 58.
For Others Min 45 and Max 57 .
Qualification:
The candidate should be a post graduate in Geology/Geophysics/Geochemistry or have degree in Engineering with good academic record from a recognized university/institution.
Persons with Post Graduate qualification in Engineering/Management will be preferred.
Minimum qualification can be relaxed in the case of internal candidates and Government officers with relevant and adequate background and experience.
Experience:
The candidate should have adequate experience at a senior level in the field of petroleum explorations, operations or petroleum economics in a company of repute.
Persons with experience in upstream techno-economics, assessment of geoscientific and reservoir engineering uncertainty, reserve quantification and exploration risking would have an added advantage.
How to Apply:
a) An applicant has to give an undertaking as a part of the application that he/she will join the post, if selected. If an applicant does not give such undertaking, the application would be rejected.
b) If a candidate who appeared for the interview and is selected by the PESB, conveys his/her unwillingness to join after the interview is held, but before the appointment is processed, he/she would be debarred for a period of two years from the date of interview from being considered for a Board level post in any CPSE other than the one to which the candidate belongs.
c) If a candidate gives his/her unwillingness to join after the issue of offer of appointment, he/she would be debarred for a period of two years from the date of offer of appointment from being considered for a Board level post in any CPSE other than the one to which the candidate belongs.
d) In the above cases, no request for relaxation or otherwise would be entertained. Annexure may be downloaded from the website of PESB.
Last date of receipt of applications in PESB is 25th May 2016. No application shall be entertained under any circumstances after the stipulated date. Incomplete applications and applications not submitted as per the prescribed format are liable to be REJECTED.
