Company Profile:
The Reserve Bank of India was established on April 1, 1935 in accordance with the provisions of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934. The Central Office of the Reserve Bank was initially established in Calcutta but was permanently moved to Kolkata in 1937. The Central Office is where the Governor sits and where policies are formulated. Though originally privately owned, since nationalisation in 1949, the Reserve Bank is fully owned by the Government of India.
Educational Qualification:
Minimum 10th Std. Pass. Maximum Undergraduate. Although matriculate ex-servicemen with 15 years of defence service are considered as ‘Graduates’, they are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit:
Normal upper age limit is 25 years as on August 1, 2016.
The upper age limit will be relaxed, subject to a maximum age limit of 45 years.
Emoluments:
A starting pay of ₹10940/- per month.
