About Indian Railways Recruitment 2016-17 – Assistant Software Engineer – Across India :
The Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) intends to recruit 20 Assistant Software Engineers for its ongoing and upcoming projects. Selection would be based on the Score obtained in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2016 conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

Salary : 7th CPC Level 7 + DA and other Allowances as per CRIS Rules (Basic Pay at the beginning of the scale would be approx. Rs. 44900 per month)

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Railways Recruitment:
- Educational Qualifications : B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Technology or Information Technology or Computer Science & Information Technology or Computer Applications, or MCA or B.Sc (Computer Science – 4 Year degree course). Relevant Degree from an AICTE/UGC recognized institute, or equivalent qualification as per Govt of India rules, with min. 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (55% for SC/ST/PWD candidates); and GATE Scores as specified. Candidates with ME/M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering can also apply, provided they possess the required GATE 2016 scores
- Age Limit : 22 to 27 Years (as on last date for submission of complete application; relaxable by 3 yrs for OBC – NCL, 5 yrs for SC / ST)
Selection Process : Through GATE – 2016 score
Application Fee :
Application fee is Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) + Bank charges of Rs. 69/- (Rupees Sixty Nine only) for General/OBC-NCL candidates. There is no application fee for SC/ST/PWD candidates or women candidates. Fee should be deposited in CRIS’s Account with State Bank of India after completing Step-2 of the registration process.
