Lenovo has confirmed that the Moto Z smartphone will be launched in India on October 4. The company has sent out press invites for the launch of the phone. The price of the Moto Z in India is not yet known. This announcement comes just a few days after Lenovo India’s Executive Director of Mobile Business Group, Sudhin Mathur said that the device would launch in India next month.
The Moto Z was unveiled in June this year and features a 5.5-inch QHD display. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC with 4GB of RAM. It is available in two variants, one with 32GB of storage and another with 64GB of storage. However, the highlight of the Moto Z is the fact that it is a modular smartphone. The phone is available with several different modular components that can be attached to the back of the phone. The components are called Moto Mods and add new features to the phone such as a pico projector or offer 10x optical zoom. Another feature to note is that the phone does not come with a headphone jack and uses the USB Type-C port for audio.
