Established in 1911, Central Bank of India was the first Indian commercial bank which was wholly owned and managed by Indians. The establishment of the Bank was the ultimate realisation of the dream of Sir Sorabji Pochkhanawala, founder of the Bank. Sir Pherozesha Mehta was the first Chairman of a truly 'Swadeshi Bank'. In fact, such was the extent of pride felt by Sir Sorabji Pochkhanawala that he proclaimed Central Bank of India as the 'property of the nation and the country's asset'. During the past 102 years of history the Bank has weathered many storms and faced many challenges. The Bank could successfully transform every threat into business opportunity and excelled over its peers in the Banking industry.
Qualification:
1. Post Graduation in Economics with minimum 55% marks with specialisation in monetary/financial economics or econometrics from an Indian or reputed foreign University.
2. Preference will be given to candidates with doctoral degree in areas of money/banking/international finance.
3. Candidates should have to their credit relevant published work/research papers in the areas of economics /finance /banking.
4. Computer knowledge is essential.
Experience Details:
1. Minimum of 5 years in applied Economic Research.
2. Candidates should have high levels of skills in quantitative techniques and thorough knowledge of financial market/domestics and international economics.
3. Candidates should have flair for writing and publishing articles of topical interest.
4. Preference will be given to candidates who are having relevant work experience as „Economist‟ in commercial /Public Sector Banks in MMG Scale-III or SMG Scale-IV.
Age Limit:
Maximum 40 years.
